The MandateConnection database is the most comprehensive source of alternative investor mandates available. It is comprised of more than 5,500 investment mandates from 15 categories of investors, including corporate and government pensions, family offices, and wealth advisors.
The BHA research team conducts one-on-one interviews with alternative investors and documents their investment plans and criteria. The analysts update investor mandates every 90 days to ensure their accuracy.
To grow the MandateConnection database, BHA maintains a back-end database of 35,000 global institutional and private investors. This back-end database covers 85% of the world’s alternative investors, of whom 40% are in North America, 40% are in Europe, and 20% are in others regions. The research team interviews investors in the back-end database looking for new mandates. When a mandate is created, it is added to the MandateConnection database. New mandates are added daily.
Given both the quantity and quality of these investor records, fund managers consider the MandateConnection their de facto source for market research.
