BHA Investor Monitor

The BHA Investor Monitor, established in August 2007, is a weekly newsletter that analyzes and reports on the global alternative investor community. It was launched to capitalize on the vast amount of quantitative and qualitative data on alternative investment mandates that is continuously gathered by BHA research analysts.

Articles in the BHA Investor Monitor are written by BHA research analysts who speak with investors daily about alternative investments and the economy. The core of the research done by BHA centers around alternative fund mandates obtained from investor surveys through one-on-one interviews with thousands of investors. BHA analysts speak with investors from 200 countries across 17 categories, each with a minimum of $25 million invested in alternatives. This extensive range of investor coverage lets BHA gather comprehensive and timely data on current investor interests in hedge funds, private equity and real estate funds, and funds of funds.

While speaking with investors, analysts ask a series of 20-25 questions regarding the investors’ alternative investment mandates. Strategies, sectors, geographic regions, and track records are some of the important characteristics covered during the interviews. This data is compiled and analyzed to identify trends and market movements. The articles produced by BHA contain the results of this analysis.

The BHA Investor Monitor is published and distributed on a weekly basis to 25,000 industry professionals.
